Vodafone Acquires 40% of Egyptian Mobile Market

Ministry of Communications and Information Technology's indicators revealed that the total number of mobile subscribers reached 92.43 million by the end of June, recording a prevalence rate exceeding 112%, where Vodafone's proportion of the market share amounted to 40.4% of the mobile users in Egypt. The number of Vodafone subscribers reached 37.43 million.
On the other hand, the market share of Mobinil included 35% of the users, while the subscribers of Etisalat Egypt increased up to 22.6 million during June, and the market share of Etisalat Egypt reached about 24.45% of the mobile market in Egypt.
