Published in Amwal Al Ghad on 09 - 08 - 2012

Call center companies seeks to hold a meeting with the Minister of Communications and Information Technology to discuss opportunities for growth inside and outside the Egyptian market and set a plan for attracting new investments in the call center sector during the coming period.
Adel Danesh, CEO of Xceed for outsourcing services, stated that the minister will conduct a meeting next month with all Egyptian and foreign companies working in Egypt in that field.
He affirmed that the call center sector is one of the most important sectors which contributes in developing the field of communications and information technology in Egypt, emphasizing that the approach adopted by Former Minister Tarek Kamel has listed Egypt at the top of the best 10 countries working in that sector.
In light of the cultural and linguistic similarities between Egypt and Gulf countries, the export of the outsourcing services will be mainly directed to the Gulf area, he said. He pointed out that the high prices of calls in the Gulf countries is one of the basic challenges that will face exporting such services to the Gulf area, noting that they will cooperate with Gulf ministers of communications to lower the prices.
On the other hand, Hany Mahmoud, the new minister of communications and information technology mentioned in previous statements that the call center sector is considered one of the most significant pillars that the communications sector will depend on in the coming stage to achieve the desired development, given that the call center sector hires a large number of young people and increases foreign investment in Egypt.
In 2010, Egypt wins the fourth rank in exporting information technology all over the world and the revenues of that sector reached EGP 1.1 billion according to the statistics of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.
