Mr. Tarek Hassan Nour Eldin Aly Amer has been the Chairman of National Bank of Egypt since 2008. Amer also serves as Chairman of Federation of Egyptian Banks. Amer served as the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) since December 2007, after a 27 years of banking experience covering a wide array of regions, including the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), Turkey, the Gulf, and Asia. In Egypt he held senior executive positions, leading the corporate finance and investment banking business for Citibank and Bank of America for MENA and the Gulf. In addition, he managed corporate and correspondent banking areas in 15 markets. Amer served as Deputy Chairman of Arab International Bank and as deputy governor of the Central Bank of Egypt. Amer serves as a Member of the Board of Directors of Central Bank of Egypt and as a Director of National Bank of Egypt (UK) Limited.
