Egypt's Mokhtar Ibrahim to complete 4 bridges worth $56.3mn in December 2016

Egypt's leading construction firm, Mokhtar Ibrahim, is set to complete works on four new bridges among its share in the state National Roads Project next December, said Mohamed Alkhatib Tuesday.
The four new bridges would be with total cost of 500 million Egyptian pounds ($56.3 million), the company's Deputy Chairman of Financial & Administrative Affaires and Director added.
Mokhtar Ibrahim‘s share in the national network phase I includes erecting four main bridges in Zagazig, Mansoura and two bridges in 30 June axis.
The National Roads Project is a large Egyptian infrastructure project initiated by President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in August 2014. The project includes the construction of 39 new roadways with a total length of 4,400 km. T
The new road network will account for around 10% of the total length of all roads in Egypt. The project is expected to be completed within 2 years and cost 36 billion pounds.
Among the planned roads are the Ismailia-Banha (33 km), the Sohag-Red Sea Road (180 km) and the Wadi al-Natrun-Alamein (134 km).
