Visa Offers Egyptian Cardholders a Chance to Attend 2012 Olympic
Published in Amwal Al Ghad on 16 - 05 - 2012

Visa, a proud sponsor of the Olympic Games for 25 years, announced the launch of a nationwide marketing campaign offering Visa cardholders in Egypt the chance to win a ‘once-in-a-lifetime' opportunity to attend the London 2012 Olympic Games this summer. More than twenty three international and national banks are participating in this Egypt-wide campaign to offer customers a chance to win when using their Visa cards.
Visa cardholders will be entered into a prize draw every time they use their payment cards and thus stand a chance to win a trip for two to London. The competition will run until the 31st May 2012. The prize includes airfare, 4-star hotel accommodation and local transportation, during the London 2012 Olympic Games. Three lucky Egyptian Visa cardholders will attend the Olympics live – from 7th-10th August, and an additional fourth winner will get a chance to attend the Games from 10th -14th August, which includes the Olympic closing ceremony.
“As a longstanding official sponsor of the Olympic Games, Visa is thrilled to offer its cardholders the opportunity to share firsthand in the experience of the Olympic Games," said Tarek Elhousseiny, General Manager for Visa North & Francophone Africa. “London is a top destination for Egyptian vacationers and this campaign is a great opportunity for cardholders to compete for a chance to support their national teams and enjoy the convenience and security of using their Visa cards for everyday purchases."
For more than 25 years, Visa has been successfully sponsoring the Olympics and Paralympics Games. As the world's biggest sporting event, the Olympic and Paralympics Games provide Visa with an unparalleled opportunity to promote its brand and to reinforce preference for Visa products and services at an international and local level. As a result, Visa has utilized its sponsorship of the last twelve Olympic Games to increase its global brand leadership, grow Visa transaction volume, expand acceptance in new and emerging markets and enhance preference for its products and services.
During the campaign, when Visa cardholders (from more than twenty three participating banks in Egypt), spend EGP 50 or more with their Visa cards, they will be entered into the draw to win a trip to the 2012 Olympic Games. The draw will take place on the 1st July2012 and the winners will be contacted accordingly.
