Lufthansa says to add 4,000 new jobs in 2016

Deutsche Lufthansa AG (LHA.XE) said Friday it plans to create more than 4,000 new jobs in 2016.
The company said it will hire around 2,800 flight attendants in various locations, including 1,400 in Frankfurt and 600 in Munich. It will also hire a further 800 flight attendants for its SWISS subsidary, 360 will be employed for Eurowings in Vienna, Duesseldorf and Hamburg, 200 for Austrian Airlines in Vienna, and 30 will be hired for Lufthansa CityLine in Munich.
Lufthansa also plans to hire 240 pilots, of which 140 will be employed for Eurowings in Austria and Germany, and 100 for Austrian Airlines. It added that it is looking for both first officers and captains.
It also plans to hire pilots for SunExpress in Germany, its joint subsidiary with Turkish Airlines which operates long-haul flights on behalf of Eurowings.
As part of the new hiring, Lufthansa will hire 150 people for its passenger service at Munich Airport.
