British Unilever to upgrade Egypt's consumer complexes

Supply ministry has signed a joint cooperation protocol with the British-Dutch multinational company Unilever to upgrade all consumer complexes branches in Egypt.
Upon the protocol, Unilever is also to upgrade the branches of the Egyptian Company for Wholesale Trade and the General Company for Wholesale Trade, Minister Khaled Hanafy said Tuesday.
The protocol is a two-year term initiated by Unilever, the minister added. It was signed by Ibrahim Hassanein - chairman of Food Industries Holding Company (FIHC) and Ashraf Bakry - managing director of Unilever Mashreq.
Hanafy added that the total number of the set-to-be-upgraded branches is more than 5,000 in addition to around 25,000 branches of groceries.
Unilever is to upgrade the branches through creating modern designs and a plan to present and coordinate products.
The company is to develop a plan to upgrade storage methods, increasing storage spaces besides building a system to preserve the quality of goods.
