UN General Assembly Chief hails Egypt's Regional, International Efforts
Published in Amwal Al Ghad on 26 - 04 - 2015

The United Nations General Assembly (UNGA)'s President Sam Kutesa expressed appreciation of Egypt's active and supportive role under the UN umbrella as well as its regional and international efforts.
Speaking to the Middle East News Agency correspondent here, Kutesa described the talks he had with Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry in New York as "fruitful and very important", saying they come after the ones he had during a Cairo visit in March with President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.
The meeting with Shoukry took up a number of files of common interest and finding solutions to the situation in Libya and Yemen in addition to water security.
The UNGA chief, also the foreign minister of Uganda, hailed the level of ties between Egypt and Uganda.
The meeting was also a chance to probe the issue of terrorism and extremism and the need to fight rising violence, he said.
