Raya Distribution Partners with Sico Technology to Distribute Sico Electronics in Egypt

Raya Distribution, the leading consumer electronics distributor, signed a strategic partnership agreement with Sico Technology, the first Egyptian company producing and developing IT products, to distribute Sico tablets. The contract signing took place at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain in the presence of Eng. Hesham El Alayly, Deputy Executive President of the NTRA, Bassem Megahed, Raya Trade CEO, Eng. Mohamed Salem, Sico CEO and Eng. Hossam Ezz, Raya Trade Distribution Director.
The strategic partnership entails the distribution of Sico Win Tab, the first tablet with the new Intel Processor "Intel Buy Trail N2805" and Windows 8 operating system. The companies will collaboratively introduce "Sico Smart Phone Pro" in cooperation with Qualcomm to Egyptian end consumers through Raya retail outlets in Egypt starting March 2014.
This strategic partnership aims at introducing cost-effective consumer electronics with the highest features for consumers in Egypt, the Middle East and Africa. The partnership capitalizes on Raya's expertise in consumer electronics distribution with its extensive channels and retail outlets in Egypt, offering its customers value added services, various payment options and direct installment facility.
Eng. Hossam Ezz stated that the quality of Sico products fulfills the Egyptian market's need for locally produced IT products up to the international quality standards with competitive prices for the Egyptian market. Eng. Mohamed Salem added that this partnership agreement presents an important milestone for Sico products in Egypt capitalizing on Raya's leadership in the consumer electronics distribution market for more than15 years.
Sico Technology was established in June 2003 serving the Egyptian market for more than 10 years as one of the largest Egyptian companies leading the IT and telecom market. Sico Technology and Sico Electronics manufacture, distribute and provide after-sales services in cooperation with Raya. Sico Technology is a subsidiary of El Sayed Salem Group, founded in 1948 and is one of five companies operating in various industries such as the real estate market, among others.
