Gold prices in Egypt rose on Wednesday, gaining 0.18 per cent across major purities as softer domestic demand weighed on the local market, according to official pricing platforms. At 16:15 local time (14:15 GMT), 24-carat gold was trading at 6,428.5 Egyptian pounds per gram, up 11.25 pounds from Tuesday's close of 6,417.25 pounds.
