Egypt's STEM and Future Innovation Summit draws 20 embassies, 4 global organisations

Egypt will host the 4th Egyptian Women Summit on 13-14 December, with participation from 20 embassies and four major international organisations, aiming to promote women's and youth careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) and artificial intelligence.
Held under the theme STEM and Future Innovation Summit at Nile University, the event is organised by the Top 50 Women Forum in collaboration with the National Council for Women (NCW), under the auspices of Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly. International participants include UN Women, the International Labour Organisation (ILO), the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ). Twenty embassies have confirmed participation, representing Europe (Sweden, Romania, Cyprus, Latvia, Estonia, France, the Netherlands, Greece), Africa (South Africa, Mali, Rwanda, Tanzania, Senegal, Namibia, Equatorial Guinea, Tunisia, Algeria), and Asia (India, Türkiye, Pakistan).
Dina Abdel Fattah, founder and president of the Top 50 Women Forum, said the summit aims to integrate global policies with Egypt's national agenda to strengthen women's and youth's capabilities in the digital age. "The extensive international participation reflects global confidence in Egypt's role as a hub for constructive dialogue on developing leadership capabilities for women and youth," she said.
The summit will feature keynote sessions, panel discussions, and interactive workshops, alongside the launch of Egypt's largest employment and training fair in advanced technology and AI sectors. Universities and private sector companies will engage directly with students and fresh graduates, facilitating career opportunities, partnerships, and knowledge exchange.
According to a statement by Top 50 Women Forum, the summit establishes the first academic and international coalition with the private sector to anticipate future jobs, develop technology-focused curricula, and support emerging tech startups.
With more than 6,000 attendees expected from diplomatic, academic, government, and private sectors, the event highlights Egypt's growing role as a regional hub for STEM and women's leadership initiatives.
