Top diplomats from Arab, US and European countries are scheduled to attend the third edition of Egyptian Women's Summit to be held in Cairo, Egypt, on March 3, under the auspices of Egypt's Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly to discuss global strategies for better achievement of gender equality and women empowerment, said Dina Abdel Fattah, Founder of Top 50 Women Forum, in a statement to Amwal Al Ghad English on Thursday.
Taking place on March 3 and 4, the Summit is organised by Top 50 Women Forum in partnership with the Egyptian National Council for Women (NCW) and the resourceful collaboration of the European Union.
Head of the European Union Delegation to Egypt, Ambassador Christian Berger is expected to deliver the opening remarks and shall attend several panel discussions during the Summit.
The two-day Summit will also feature the attendance Sean Jones, Mission Director of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) in Egypt, as well as ambassadors of Sweden, Cyprus, Estonia, Romania, Ireland, and Latvia. Evyenia Sidereas, Deputy Chief of Mission of the US Embassy in Cairo, will also be among the esteemed participants of the Summit.
The EU diplomats will explore the global best practices and success stories in achieving gender equality, improving women's leadership, and strengthening their contributions across all business sectors.
The active attendance of high-level global delegates at this year's Summit is a testament of the Egyptian women's increasing contribution to all aspects of life, said Dina Abdel Fattah, Founder of Top 50 Women Forum, in a statement.
The Summit aims to engage representatives and diplomats in all activities, such as sessions, workshops, and an art exhibition documenting the success stories of Egyptian women, Abdel Fattah added.
