Egypt has exported 150,000 cubic metres of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Türkiye aboard the vessel LNG Endurance, operated by TotalEnergies, the ministry of petroleum said on Wednesday. The shipment is part of Egypt's efforts to attract more foreign investment into its natural gas sector by boosting exploration activity and expanding domestic production capacity, the ministry said in a statement. It added that the government is working with TotalEnergies to scale up deepwater exploration projects in the Mediterranean, as the French energy major seeks to build on Egypt's well-developed gas liquefaction infrastructure to accelerate development and lower operating costs.
