Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and will take part in the Sharm El-Sheikh Summit for Peace, aimed at reinforcing the Gaza cease-fire agreement and reaffirming both sides' commitment to maintaining it, Egypt's presidency said Monday. Earlier, the presidency said US President Donald Trump spoke by phone with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi while in Israel, joined by Netanyahu. During the call, the leaders agreed that Netanyahu would attend the upcoming summit. The talks in Sharm El-Sheikh are expected to bring together key international and regional stakeholders to support postwar stabilization and reconstruction efforts in Gaza.
