Egypt's Petroleum Minister Karim Badawy met on Wednesday with Dalia El Gabry, chairperson of Shell Egypt, to discuss expanding cooperation in natural gas exploration and production in the Mediterranean, the ministry said. Talks covered Shell's upcoming drilling programmes and new exploration plans, as well as recent output gains from phases 10 and 11 of the West Delta Deep Marine fields, which have helped lift Egypt's natural gas production. The two sides also reviewed potential investment opportunities in upstream operations and the ministry's incentive measures aimed at attracting foreign investment, boosting output and accelerating discoveries.
