Egypt and Tunisia signed eight cooperation agreements in Cairo on Thursday as part of efforts to deepen economic and institutional ties, the Egyptian Cabinet said. The deals, signed during the 18th session of the Egyptian-Tunisian Joint Higher Committee, span health, trade, social affairs, and small-business development. They also include executive programmes on youth and sports and consumer protection, as well as an agreement between the two countries' diplomatic training institutes. Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly and his Tunisian counterpart Sara Zaafarani presided over the signing and later endorsed the session's final minutes. The agreements are intended to bolster bilateral trade and investment links as both countries seek to expand regional economic cooperation. Attribution: Amwal Al Ghad English Subediting: Y.Yasser
