Egyptian pound widens spread vs. USD at Sunday's close – CBE

The Egyptian pound (EGP) weakened slightly against the US dollar (USD) on Sunday, August 31, 2025, according to data from the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).
The CBE quoted the average buying rate at EGP 48.5353 and the selling rate at EGP 48.6644, compared with Thursday's rates of EGP 48.5454 for buying and EGP 48.6454 for selling.
