Egypt's Ministry of Health and Population said the number of injuries from the train accident in Matrouh has risen to 94, in addition to three deaths, after seven carriages derailed from a train travelling from Matrouh to Cairo. The ministry stated that 55 injured people were taken to El-Dabaa Central Hospital and 39 others to Ras El-Hikma Hospital. It added that hospitals in Matrouh and neighbouring governorates have been placed on high alert, with medical teams deployed to support the facilities receiving the injured. According to the ministry, all medical and emergency services are being provided under the continuous supervision of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar.
