The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended higher on Sunday, with all major indices in positive territory. The benchmark EGX30 index gained 0.84 per cent to close at 36,109.77 points, while the EGX33 Shariah index rose 0.98 per cent to 3,650.10. The EGX35-LV added 0.74 per cent to 3,848.36, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 increased 0.56 per cent to 10,639.86, and the broader EGX100 advanced 0.75 per cent to 14,329.53. Total market capitalisation stood at 2.50 trillion Egyptian pounds. Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers, purchasing shares worth 4.15 million and 8.22 million pounds respectively, while Egyptians were net sellers with a total of 12.37 million pounds. Top gainers 1. Shares of El Kahera El Watania Investment went up by 13.42 per cent to close at 78.440 Egyptian pounds a share. 2. Shares of Nasr Company for Civil Works surged by 10.17 per cent, closing at 8.560 Egyptian pounds per share. 3. Shares of Memphis Pharmaceuticals rose by 9.33 per cent reaching 117.000 Egyptian pounds per share. Top losers 1. Shares of Gulf Canadian Real Estate Investment Co. went down by 5.82 per cent to close at 3.720 Egyptian pounds a share. 2. Shares of Cairo Oils and Soap dropped by 3.24 per cent to close at 0.329 per cent a share. 3.
