The The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed higher on Thursday, with broad-based gains across main indices and increased foreign investor appetite. The benchmark EGX30 index rose 0.93 per cent to 35,809.36 points, while the EGX33 Shariah-compliant index advanced 1.07 per cent to 3,614.74 points. The EGX35-LV index added 0.51 per cent to 3,819.97. Among small and mid-cap stocks, the EGX70 index climbed 0.71 per cent to 10,580.80, and the broader EGX100 index gained 0.74 per cent to close at 14,222.39. Total market capitalisation stood at 2.475 trillion Egyptian pounds. Non-Arab foreign investors were net buyers by 1.27 billion pounds, while Arab investors recorded net purchases of 16.4 million pounds. Egyptian investors were net sellers with 1.29 billion pounds. Top gainers 1. Shares of North Cairo Mills went up by 20.00 per cent to 67.980 Egyptian pounds a share. 2. Shares of South Cairo & Giza Mills & Bakeries rose by 19.99 per cent to close at 92.320 per cent a share. 3. Shares of Nasr Company for Civil Works jumped by 10.21 per cent, closing at 7.770 Egyptian pounds. To losers 1. Shares of Alexandria National Company for Financial Investment dropped by 6.17 per cent to 46.570 Egyptian pounds at closing. 2. Shares of Golden Textiles & Clothes Wool fell by 5.42 per cent to close at 38.540 Egyptian pounds a share. 3.
