Agiba Petroleum has successfully commenced production from the Arcadia-28 well, achieving a daily output of approximately 4,100 barrels of oil equivalent (bpd). The well targets the Masajid Carbonate formation and was was put into operation on 19 July 2025 following a precise acid stimulation operation using advanced techniques similar to those applied in the Iris well. The development comes as part of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources' first strategic pillar, which focuses on maximising domestic petroleum production. Companies across the sector are continuing their efforts to increase output to meet the country's energy needs. The success of Arcadia-28 represents a strong addition to Agiba's daily production capacity and reflects the effectiveness of its development and expansion plans in its concession areas.
