Egypt's Agiba Petroleum Company recorded its highest daily production in May, reaching 44,196 barrels of oil equivalent. The company also added 5.3 million barrels of oil equivalent to its proven reserves under a four-year exploration plan that includes drilling 14 wells. Chairman Tharwat El Gendy announced the results during a visit by Petroleum and Mineral Resources Minister Karim Badawi. The minister reviewed the company's operations and plans with executives and representatives of IEOC Production, a subsidiary of Italy's Eni. Badawi praised Agiba's performance over the past six months achieving notable increase in crude output. The company outlined plans to maintain an average daily output of 30,000 barrels of oil equivalent in fiscal year 2025/2026, supported by new gas pipelines such as the Framid–Obayed line, which have enhanced production efficiency and optimised resource utilisation.
