Egypt's SCZONE, the Main Development Company (MDC), and TEDA Egypt signed a $100 million deal for a land development OF a 2.86 km2 plot in the Sokhna Industrial Zone, as per a Cabinet statement on Wednesday. This new contract comes as TEDA Egypt nears completion of development works on its previously allocated 7 square kilometres, raising its total allocation to nearly 10 square kilometres within the Sokhna Industrial Zone. The deal reflects SCZONE's commitment to supporting the development of industrial land and maximising its use through partnerships with experienced developers, according to the announcement. Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly said the partnership reflects Egypt's push to accelerate industrial growth, enhance private sector engagement, and position SCZONE as a key regional hub for manufacturing and logistics. SCZONE Chairman Waleid Gamal El-Dien noted the expansion confirms TEDA Egypt's continued success and commitment, adding that the zone attracted over $4 billion in Chinese investments in the past three years.
