Egypt's Minister of Industry and Transport Kamel El-Wazir inaugurated a $25 million engineering glass factory in Quesna Industrial City, Menoufia governorate, according to a statement from the Cabinet. The factory, developed in partnership with a Japanese firm and spans 20,000-square-metre, produces various types of architectural glass—double, thermal, and curved—using 100 per cent locally sourced materials. It boasts an annual production capacity of two million square metres and plans to export 50 per cent of its output to Middle Eastern and African markets. The facility also provides 300 direct jobs.
