Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Aty held talks on Wednesday and Thursday with several Arab counterparts to discuss the situation in Gaza and joint Egyptian efforts with Qatar and the United States to resume the ceasefire, release hostages and detainees, and ensure the urgent delivery of humanitarian aid to Palestinians. The discussions included preparations for an early recovery and reconstruction conference, to be hosted by Egypt in cooperation with the Palestinian government and the United Nations, once a ceasefire is secured. Abdel-Aty spoke with Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani; Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi; Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdullatif Al Zayani; Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf; Omani Foreign Minister Badr Al Busaidi; Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Abdullah Al Yahya; and Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita. The calls also addressed bilateral relations and reaffirmed Egypt's commitment to strengthening Arab cooperation at a time of heightened regional challenges. Abdel-Aty praised the depth of Egypt's historic ties with fellow Arab nations and the growing collaboration under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
