The head of Egyptian Countryside Development Company Amr Abdel Wahab met with Polish Ambassador in Egypt Michał Murkociński to discuss cooperation in agriculture, smart farming, food manufacturing, and renewable energy, an official statement said. The discussions centred on leveraging Poland's expertise in smart agriculture and machinery, including the potential to manufacture advanced tractors locally with Polish know-how, the report added. The company expressed its interest in attracting more foreign investment to support Egypt's flagship land reclamation and agricultural development initiative, which is one of the largest sustainable farming projects in the region. Abdel Wahab emphasised that the 1.5 million feddan reclamation national project offers significant scope for productive partnerships and represents a model for science-based agricultural development. Murkociński praised the company's recent progress and its ambitious vision, noting Poland's strong capabilities in agriculture and natural resource management. He expressed optimism about short- and medium-term cooperation, citing the robust ties between Cairo and Warsaw. Both sides agreed on the importance of technical and economic exchanges in the coming period and discussed potential participation by Polish companies in infrastructure development across NECDA's land portfolio.
