Egypt's Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities has added Italian and French to its official tourism promotion website as part of efforts to boost digital outreach and attract more visitors from key European markets. The move brings the total number of languages available on the Experience Egypt website to six, including English, Chinese, German, and Russian. The multilingual platform aims to enhance user experience, increase accessibility, and better engage international travelers. In a statement on Sunday, the ministry said the update aligns with directives from Tourism Minister Sherif Fathy, who has called for a greater reliance on digital tools to promote Egypt's diverse tourism offerings and improve communication with global audiences. "Adding Italian and French represents a strategic step toward broadening the site's appeal and boosting its interactivity," said Ahmed Youssef, Assistant Minister for Strategic Affairs and Acting CEO of the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Authority. "This reflects our commitment to making Egypt more accessible to tourists from various linguistic backgrounds." The tourism authority's promotional website, launched in 2023, offers detailed information on Egypt's cultural, historical, and leisure attractions. It also provides practical guidance on visa procedures, weather updates, and opening hours for major archaeological sites and museums. The ministry said this enhancement is part of a broader digital strategy to support Egypt's tourism rebound and ensure the country remains competitive in the global travel market.
