Asia-Pacific markets closed mostly lower on Thursday, as investors digested the US Federal Reserve's decision to hold interest rates steady and monitored developments in the Israel-Iran conflict. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index led regional losses, sliding more than 2 per cent. China's CSI 300 declined 0.82 per cent, while Japan's Nikkei 225 fell 1.02 per cent to 38,488.34 and the Topix shed 0.58 per cent to 2,792.08.
