Egypt's agricultural exports have reached 4.8 million tons since the beginning of 2025, compared to 4.3 million tons during the same period last year. Citrus fruits topped the list of agricultural exports with approximately 1.8 million tons, followed by potatoes at around 1.1 million tons. Fresh and dry beans ranked next with about 130,000 tons, followed by fresh onions with around 106,000 tons, and sweet potatoes at an estimated 101,000 tons. The main Egyptian agricultural exports this season also included, in order: fresh strawberries, fresh tomatoes, fresh garlic, guava, grapes, and pomegranates. The continued growth and diversification of Egypt's agricultural exports reflect the high quality of Egyptian produce and the state's efforts, along with the strong global reputation of these exports and significant international demand. This enhances the agricultural sector's role in supporting the national economy and increasing the country's foreign currency reserves. Attribution: Amwal Al Ghad English Subediting: M. S. Salama
