Egypt's agricultural exports rose by 18.24 percent year on year (YoY) to reach 4.654 million tons since the beginning of the year until Wednesday. The exports went up from 3.936 million tons during the same period the year before, said the Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, Al-Sayed Al-Qusair, on Sunday. Citrus, sweet potatoes, garlic, potatoes, pomegranates, fresh onions, strawberries, grapes, and beans are among the main Egyptian agricultural exports. Citrus was at the top of the list of agricultural exports with 1.894 million tons during the period from January 1st to July 5th, followed by fresh potatoes with 876,241 tons, and onions ranked third with 323,783 tons of exports. Grapes were the fourth on the list with total exports of 94,660 tons, bean exports reached 73,889 tons, and sweet potatoes came in the sixth spot with 54,090 tons. Egypt's exports of tomatoes ranked seventh with a total of 44,259 tons, strawberries in the eighth place with a total of 23,295 tons of exports, and garlic in the ninth spot with a total of 21,470 tons.
