Egypt's Ministry of Health and Population signed on Tuesday a cooperation protocol with Philips to support local manufacturing and boost Egyptian products in the health technology market, as per a Cabinet statement. The protocol aims to conduct feasibility studies for localising the medical devices industry in Egypt. It will also explore the manufacture of device components, the development of the medical equipment sector, and the establishment of a specialised centre for biomedical engineering knowledge transfer. The Advisor to the Minister of Health emphasised the collaboration between both parties to boost the local health technology industry and promote Egyptian products in alignment with national priorities and future plans.
