URGENT: Trump, Qatar Emir sign declaration to boost US-Qatar cooperation

US President Donald Trump and Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani signed a joint declaration of cooperation on Wednesday, in a move aimed at deepening strategic ties between the United States and the Gulf state.
At the start of a joint statement, the Emir describes their meeting as "great" and said he believes they are "going to another level of a relationship between Qatar and the US."
Details of the declaration were not immediately disclosed, but both sides indicated it would cover areas of mutual interest, including regional stability and economic cooperation.
