The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed mixed on Monday, with the benchmark EGX30 index rising 0.47 per cent to end the session at 31,577.01 points. The EGX100 index inched up 0.04 per cent to 12,767.5 points, while the EGX70 index of small and mid-cap stocks slipped 0.02 per cent to 9,435.82 points. The Shariah-compliant EGX33 index declined 0.10 per cent to close at 3,269.44 points. Total market capitalisation stood at 2.25 trillion Egyptian pounds . In terms of investor activity, Egyptian and non-Arab foreign investors were net sellers, offloading 38.09 billion and 1.2 billion Egyptian pounds worth of shares, respectively. Arab investors were net buyers, with net purchases of 39.29 billion Egyptian pounds. Top gainers 1. Shares of East Delta Flour Mills jumped by 10.33 per cent, to close at the price of 267.700 Egyptian pounds a share. 2. Shares of Universal for Paper and Packaging Materials (Unipack) climbed by 8.70 per cent, to trade at the price of 1.250 Egyptian pounds a share. 3. Shares of El Obour Real Estate Investment soared by 8.07 per cent, to the purchasing price of 11.650 Egyptian pounds a share. Top losers 1. Shares of Golden Coast Company dived by 4.87 per cent, to close at 3.910 Egyptian pounds a share. 2. Shares of Egypt for Poultry sank by 4.76 per cent, to close at 6.000 Egyptian pounds a share. 3.
