Egypt has expressed deep concern over the current developments between India and Pakistan, following an exchange of shelling on Tuesday night that resulted in several casualties and injuries. In a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Egypt stressed the importance of exerting all possible efforts to achieve de-escalation and defuse the crisis, to prevent the region from sliding into further escalation. Egypt urged both India and Pakistan to exercise the utmost restraint and prioritise dialogue through diplomatic channels, underlining the importance of pursuing peaceful solutions that meet the aspirations of the two friendly peoples for calm and stability.
