In a major ceremony organised by Amwal Al Ghad economic magazine and Exlnt Communications — both subsidiaries of United Media Services (UMS) — the tenth edition (bronze jubilee) of the Egypt for the Best Summit will be held on June 23 under the auspices of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly. The event will honour the most influential companies and figures in Egypt's economy and public life, and will also celebrate achievers across key development sectors. The summit enjoys broad government support and sees participation from policymakers and senior executives from major firms and institutions. Makers of Achievement This year's edition, held under the theme "Makers of Achievement", will highlight the state's successful efforts in boosting employment, driving economic growth, and attracting regional and international investments, despite ongoing conflicts in the Middle East and global geopolitical and trade tensions. The list of honourees underscores the growing strength of the Egyptian economy, showcasing businesses and leaders capable of thriving both locally and globally. Several ministers and senior state officials will participate in honouring the award recipients. The summit—broadcast across various Egyptian, Arab, and regional media outlets—seeks to generate positive institutional and societal awareness by presenting forward-looking perspectives in line with global shifts. It also promotes dialogue on international best practices in economic policy and private sector development, while exploring opportunities created by the new global order to drive sustainable growth and progress. Top awards This year's honourees span key categories, including: Institutional Achievement Awards, the Top 100 Companies in Egypt's main economic sectors, the Top 50 Most Influential Women in Public Life, standout entrepreneurs, top institutions in sustainability, and prominent social media influencers. Additional awards will be given in vital sectors. Amwal Al Ghad—a UMS publication—ensures the selection process is grounded in transparency and neutrality, using rigorous research and classification methods developed in partnership with leading financial and research institutions. The summit will also feature the Talaat Harb Award, one of its most prestigious honours, inspired by the philosophy of the late economic pioneer who believed in Egypt's capacity to build a strong economy. Winners are selected based on the depth and impact of their institutions' contributions to the national economy, as well as their operational and financial potential for future growth and their embodiment of Egypt's economic identity. The event will host ministers, senior officials, and nearly 500 leaders from across Egypt's financial and business ecosystem, including policymakers, major financial institutions, investors, and regional business figures. Women leaders and media outlets from Egypt and the region will also take part. Honouree lists are compiled annually in collaboration with investment banks and economic analysis centres, based on performance, financial analysis, innovation, sustainability, and social responsibility. The organisers aim to elevate the global classification of Egyptian companies, in line with a global economy that increasingly relies on qualitative rankings as a key benchmark for assessing emerging markets. Despite global economic volatility, Egyptian companies have recorded significant growth over the past year, especially in the banking, financial services, energy, industry, real estate, and ICT sectors. Tarek Makhlouf, Managing Director of UMS Tarek Makhlouf, Managing Director of UMS, stated that the summit reflects Egypt's uniquely diverse economy and its consistent growth across all operational levels in the current fiscal year. He noted that it also demonstrates the core factors ensuring economic stability and private sector empowerment—such as a strong work culture, sound fiscal and operational policies, high-quality job creation, and the delivery of trusted, high-value products. He added that amid a turbulent global situation, where many nations are seeking stability and economic advancement, the Egyptian experience—politically, economically, and socially—deserves to be highlighted. This is precisely what UMS seeks to do across its media and marketing platforms by celebrating the unsung heroes and makers of achievement. Makhlouf also pointed out that Egypt is home to many prominent economic figures and internationally renowned financial institutions. This is reflected in the increasing regional presence of Egyptian firms across the Middle East and Africa—a testament to the depth and maturity of Egypt's economic model and its highly skilled, tech-savvy workforce suited to today's innovation-driven age. Dina Abdel Fattah, Secretary-General of the Egypt for the Best Summit Dina Abdel Fattah, Secretary-General of the Egypt for the Best Summit and Editor-in-Chief of Amwal Al Ghad, said that many Egyptian companies have gained both regional and international acclaim, drawing local and global attention due to their strong performance and impressive growth.
