Asia-Pacific markets ended Monday on a mixed note as investors assessed China's latest efforts to support domestic businesses and tracked developments in trade discussions between the US and regional economies. Mainland China's CSI 300 index slipped 0.14 per cent to close at 3,781.61, while Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index finished flat at 21,973.24. In India, equities outperformed, with the Nifty 50 climbing 1.23 per cent and the BSE Sensex advancing 1.31 per cent as of 1:38 p.m. local time. Japan's Nikkei 225 gained 0.38 per cent to close at 35,839.99, while the broader Topix index added 0.86 per cent to 2,650.61.
