The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed higher on Sunday, as the benchmark EGX30 index rose by 0.68 per cent, finishing at 31,855.12 points. The EGX70 index, which tracks small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), also saw a gain of 0.64 per cent, closing at 9,286.6. Shariah-compliant stocks surged by 1.01 per cent, reaching 3,290.44, while the broader EGX100 index advanced 0.76 per cent, settling at 12,702.37. Market capitalisation stood at 2.27 trillion Egyptian pounds. Egyptian and non-Arab investors were net buyers, with inflows of 46.7 billion pounds and 17.4 billion pounds, respectively. In contrast, Arab investors recorded net sales amounting to 64.2 billion pounds. Top gainers 1. Shares of Suez Canal Company for Technology Settling climbed by 20 per cent, to close at 115.510 Egyptian pounds a share. 2. Shares of Rights Issue of Al Tawfeek Leasing Company – A.T.LEASE -3 jumped by 17.53 per cent, to close at 1.133 Egyptian pounds a share. 3. Shares of Qatar National Bank surged by 8.66 per cent, to close at the price of 30.860 Egyptian pounds a share. Top losers 1. Shares of Alexandria New Medical Centre lost by 5.52 per cent, to close at the price of 22.270 Egyptian pounds a share. 2. Shares of Egyptian Kuwaiti Holding sank by 5.43 per cent, to trade at the price of 0.696 Egyptian pounds a share. 3.
