Egypt's Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar met with representatives from the German firm Bayer to explore opportunities for collaboration in the areas of reproductive health, as per a Cabinet statement. Abdel Ghaffar highlighted Bayer's strategic partnership with the ministry in organising reproductive health campaigns, supplying primary care units with resources, and supporting presidential initiatives for cancer detection and treatment. The meeting discussed collaboration with Bayer, which involved 274 reproductive health convoys reaching 525,942 women in all governorates. Also, 221 simulator training courses were held for doctors, with a total of 788 participants trained. The discussions focused on improving collaboration in developing reproductive health tools, training doctors, and medications for chronic diseases, diabetes complications, eye diseases, and early kidney disease detection. He emphasised the need for better collaboration for early diagnosis and treatment of liver cancer.
