Egypt ranks 2nd globally in gas-generated power growth

Egypt has secured second place worldwide in the growth of electricity generated from natural gas in 2024. The increase amounted to 15.1 thousand gigawatt-hours.
This achievement aligns with statements made by the Egypt's Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli, who affirmed that the country is prepared to face the peak of the summer season and will not experience electricity load shedding.
