Egypt's Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan El-Khatib held a meeting on Sunday with the British Ambassador to Egypt Geoffrey Adams to discuss ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in investment and trade and to explore investment opportunities in the Egyptian market, as per a Cabinet statement. Minister El-Khatib emphasised that Egypt is a prime destination for production and export, highlighting the government's significant efforts to attract investments across various vital sectors. He noted that Egypt has a competitive advantage in post-production, making it an ideal choice for investors seeking promising opportunities in the region. The minister also reviewed the recent trade policy reforms in Egypt, pointing to investment opportunities in key sectors such as green hydrogen, energy, tourism, and hotels. In response, Ambassador Adams expressed the UK's interest in expanding its investments in Egypt, citing the country's strategic location and competitive production and shipping costs.
