Cambodia has successfully raised $21 million from charitable individuals to fund the development of border infrastructure, Prime Minister Hun Manet announced on Monday. The fundraising campaign, launched on August 26, aims to raise additional funds for the construction of a border ring road. To date, approximately 700,000 people have contributed to the cause. The prime minister expressed his gratitude to the generous donors, both domestic and international. He emphasised that the funds will be used to enhance infrastructure along Cambodia's borders, with a particular focus on completing the border ring road. The fundraising campaign will continue until October 31, 2024. Cambodia has been working on constructing a border ring road since 1994, and has completed approximately 1,300 kilometres of the total length.
