ITIDA: 7 Egyptian Firms To Participate In CeBIT Fair 2013
Published in Amwal Al Ghad on 06 - 03 - 2013

Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) will sponsor the participation of seven Egyptian companies operating in Information and Communication Technology as well as Maadi technological zone in CeBIT Fair for the seventh consecutive time
The world's top technology fair, the CeBIT, is due to open in Hanover, Germany, with the focus being on sharing in cyberspace. In addition, the up-and-coming tech nation Poland will feature prominently at the fair. CeBIT 2013 tech fair will be officially opened on 5-9 March by German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
Yasser ElKady, CEO of the ITIDA, has referred to the fruitful Egyptian participation in CeBIT fair last year, as Egyptian firms succeeded to conduct transactions worth about EGP 10 million.
The Egyptian participations in CeBIT fair is an opportunity to emphasize Egypt's prominent status on the global information technology map and promote Egypt as one of the most important outsourcing destinations in the world, ElKady noted.
Companies are selected to participate in this great event according to certain criteria; export capacity of the company, the company's specification and its relationship to the exhibition, the compatibility of the company with ICT strategy, international quality certificates the company received as well as the company's years of experience in the sector.
About 4,100 exhibitors from 70 nations booked space for this year's CeBIT, roughly the same number as last year, the organizers at Deutsche Messe said.
In 2013, CeBIT's theme is "shareconomy," a growing trend among users to share not only digital data on the Internet, but also organize sharing models for material products such as cars, lawn mowers or apartments.
Thereby, outsourcing storage capacity into so-called external clouds becomes more and more commercially.
