Egypt hosts 3rd PPP Mena Forum this month

Egypt's Ministry of Finance is hosting the third session of Public-Private Partnership in the Middle East and North Africa "PPP MENA Forum" on 19 and 20 March at the Nile Ritz-Carlton, under the auspices of Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly.
In line with this, the third PPP MENA Forum will focus on the integration of new and innovative partnership models and launch of new projects for the region's socio-economic growth.
The forum will host over 300 regional and international senior PPP professionals, experts, and project owners, developers, operators, consultants, investors, and finance institutions, Minister of Finance, Mohamed Maait said.
Maait further added that the event is also a good opportunity to discuss effective policies for public-private partnerships projects in infrastructure, regulatory framework, and long-term private funding for national projects.
The conference will also tackle PPP laws, international best practices and mechanisms for transforming PPP projects and to the green economy, in addition to exchanging experiences with the countries of the region.
"We are working to maximise partnership projects between the public and private sectors, in a way that enhances investments in various fields," said Atter Hannoura, director PPP Central Unit, Ministry of Finance.
As a part of Egypt's vision 2030, the government is seeking to promote public-private partnerships across various sectors such as education, and railways along with new areas for development which includes climate control, seawater desalination, and dry ports.
