Lafarge Egypt, a member of LafargeHolcim Group, plans to become a net zero carbon emissions company by 2030, its chief executive Solomon Baumgartner Aviles announced in a press conference on Wednesday. Aviles said the company had recently signed an agreement with the National Research Centre (NRC) to work on producing a more environmentally sound product and manufacturing cutting-edge materials from local elements. The agreement will see Lafarge Egypt and NRC collaborating to set a solid foundation for the 5G Industry based on Egypt's Vision 2030 Strategy and the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), he added.
