French Ambassador praises Lafarge Egypt Praising leading role in cement industry

French Ambassador to Egypt H.E Romate visited Lafarge Egypt, member of LafargeHolcim, saying that the company a vessel for the French investments which reflects revolutionary technologies and innovative building solutions, and the strong relations between France & Egypt.
On the other hand, CEO of Lafarge Egypt Solomon Aviles said that Lafarge Egypt is honored by the French Ambassador in Egypt, remarkable visit to their plant that has been in Egypt for 2 and half decades
The French Ambassador, Stephane Romatet, visited Lafarge Egypt Cement and Geo Cycle plant in El Sokhna on October 7th, 2020.
The visit asserted on the French Embassy's strategy to consolidate bilateral relations between France and Egypt, through encouraging French investments and investors in Egypt.
During the visit, the French Ambassador, met with the management team of Lafarge Egypt, who shared the cement top technology in the plant, the contribution of Lafarge Egypt to projects in Africa such as the Cairo Metro project, the 170km long Cairo–Alexandria Desert Road, complemented with the 45km long Shoubra–Banha Highway & Lafarge Egypt seasoned expertise to build the Grand Egyptian Museum.
Romatet viewed the sustainable developments efforts of the company, and the dedication to health and safety principles, in addition to the corporate social responsibility efforts that are implemented in cooperation and coordination with the government of Egypt and civil society focusing on health services, eradicating poverty, empowering education, protecting environment while ensuring the welfare and prosperity of people.
Ambassador Romatet took a tour in the plant, five lines and quarries, met with the Egyptian employees and had chat with them. H.E planted a tree at the plant's venue to symbolize putting down roots for future growth reflecting appreciation to Lafarge Egypt efforts of reducing carbon footprint to competently preserve the environments.
Solomon Baumgartner Aviles, CEO of Lafarge Egypt, stated: "We are incredibly honored to welcome Ambassador Stephane Romatet, hailing for the embassy's gracious support in perpetually supporting our business in Egypt."
