Egypt's EDA clinches deal to automate drug distribution process

Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) on Monday signed a cooperation protocol with Upjohn – one of Pfizer's divisions and healthcare technology company Iqvia Egypt and Saudi Arabia – to automate the drug distribution process, notably drugs that require tight control.
The protocol is consistent with the role the private sector plays in Egypt's development process, EDA's deputy chairman said, adding that the protocol is also consistent with the company's plan for digital transformation and the automation of its services.

The cooperation protocol also aims to support the EDA in establishing a robust automated system for drug distribution and boost public-private partnership and cooperation with Egypt's government, notably in digital transformation and healthcare automation, Swilam announced.
