Tarek Wafiq: Egyptian Delegation To Participate in Reconstructing Libya Soon

An Egyptian delegation from the Egyptian Businessmen Association, Egyptian Engineering Syndicate and the ministry of housing will visit Libya soon. The visit is organized by the Egyptian Engineering Syndicate and the Libyan government to discuss the ways of the Egyptian side's participation in reconstructing Libya, Dr Tarek Wafiq, Minister of Housing and New Urban Communities, said.
Dr Wafiq added that the real estate sector is one of the important sectors, which is able to turn the corner of Egyptian economy. As the sector has direct job opportunities and indirect ones, it can provide 4000 job opportunities as soon as operating it. He elucidated that the ministry seeks involving the private sector in the ministry's ventures with keeping the subsidy system.
The minister pointed out that the private sector is significant in addition to the civil society organization; therefore Egypt should have partnership with them to overcome the current crisis. One of the most salient crises in Egypt is represented in not unifying the aims from the concerned authorities; consequently the efforts go in vain.
Wafiq referred that his meeting with the division of real estate investment to resolve the investors' problems, which the problem of heights in National Housing Program for Youth, will be the start of new kind of national work examples.
He also disclosed that there is a workshop between the ministry of housing and Egyptian Businessmen Association around the strategic plan for development 2020-2052. The workshop is for discussing the ways of the private sector's participation and detecting their views about the plan; affirming that the urban planning shouldn't be separated from the economic and social planning.
