Egypt's Meditrade Buys Soyoil And Sunoil In Tender

Egyptian commodity purchasing enterprise Meditrade has bought 35,000 tonnes of soyoil and 16,000 tonnes of sunflower oil in a tender which closed on Tuesday, a Cairo-based trader said.
Of the sunflower oil, Nidera sold 6,000 tonnes at $1,154.74 a tonne for arrival Nov. 1-21. Arma also sold 5,000 tonnes at $1,134.69 a tonne and another 5,000 tonnes at $1,131.74 a tonne both for delivery in November.
Of the soyoil, Glencore sold 30,000 tonnes at $1,131 a tonne for arrival Nov. 1-30 while the National Vegetable Oil Company sold 5,000 tonnes at 6,970 Egyptian pounds ($1,100) a tonne for delivery during November.
The trader said the following bids were made in dollars per tonne, including cost and freight, unless otherwise stated:
*Glencore: 30,000 tonnes soybean oil at $1,131 for arrival during November and 10,000 tonnes sunflower oil at $1,161 and 10,000 tonnes sunflower oil at $1,165 both for arrival Nov. 1-21
*Nidera: 6,000 tonnes sunflower oil at $1,154.74 for arrival Nov. 1-21
*Louis Dreyfus: 30,000 tonnes of sunflower oil at $1,155.64 for arrival Nov. 1-21
*Arma: 5,000 tonnes sunflower oil at $1,134.69 for arrival Nov. 1-21 and 5,000 tonnes sunflower oil at $1,131.74 for arrival Nov. 1-21
*National Vegetable Oil Company: 5,000 tonnes soyoil at 6,970 Egyptian pounds for delivery throughout November
*Quadra: 6,000 tonnes sunflower oil at $1,159.5 for arrival Nov. 1-21 ($1 = 6.0930 Egyptian pounds)
