The Egyptian Foreign Ministry is currently preparing a note to document the Israeli violations of human rights in Gaza during the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, an official diplomatic source said. The ministry is also studying possible ways to bring Israeli leaders to trial. The note, which is being prepared by the Arab League and the Foreign Ministry's Human Rights Department, comes within the framework of the decrees of the Arab League meeting held by its permanent delegates on Monday. Once ready, the note will be added to the results of the committee set up by the Arab League permanent delegates. Such committee decided to form a commission of inquiry including Arab and international figures to travel to Gaza to monitor and document what has happened in cooperation with Gazans, civil society organizations and United Nations specialized agencies, especially UNRWA. Egypt is preparing another note about these violations to send it to the United Nations Human Rights Council, which asked Egypt to send it information and its point of view on these violations to help it prepare its report. The source pointed out that the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) has formed four commissions of inquiry. The first is on the attacks that targeted UNRWA schools in Gaza. The second is an international independent fact-finding committee composed of prominent dignitaries traveling to Gaza to study the Israeli violations. The third is made up of the UNHRC investigators who have been charged with collecting information on the Israeli violations and submitting them to the UNHRC. The Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Gaza will document the violations and submit a periodic report about the new violations to the UNHRC every three months. Cairo will host the international conference on the reconstruction of Gaza next March 2nd. In press statements, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Hossam Zaki said the ministry began diplomatic contacts with international and regional parties to discuss their contribution to the conference.
