Raising banners calling for President Mubarak to intervene quickly and solve their problem, more than 700 experts from the Ministry of Justice have protested all over the country yesterday against the decision of the Judicial Inspection Department that confined their examination of the cases' files within the courts. The experts threatened to suspend the discussion of the cases that were referred to them, and to continue protesting for three days, in case that unfair decision is not canceled. Al-Masry Al-Youm has learnt that a meeting was held between representatives of the experts and Chancellor Osama Attawya, Assistant Minister of Justice, but sources said they failed to reach a satisfactory solution. Attawya told the experts in the meeting: "The decision will be implemented, and your protest is useless." He explained to them that the decision is aimed to regulate work inside the courts in order to prevent the files from getting lost or tampered with. But the experts said they will escalate the matter against the ministry officials who disrupt and delay the work. Ibrahim Mohamed Alam, President of the Alexandria Experts Club, told Al-Masry Al-Youm the experts know that such protests are useless and will be ignored by the ministry, yet they insist on escalating the matter.
